Congratulations to Our New 2020 Interns!

We have now placed all of our 2020 interns, but if you’re interested in what we do, please read below:

We are looking for interns who are passionate about helping to increase the youth vote turnout for the 2020 election. The internship will run up until Election Day on November 3. This internship will be done remotely.

The key qualities we are looking for are the desire to positively impact the 2020 Election turnout, strong communication skills, and tenacity. That being said, we particularly need interns with strong social media skills, graphic design skills, photography, video and/or animation know-how. Experience with PR or willingness to learn is also highly desired. (Lack of these skills won’t disqualify you, however— we need a well-rounded group.)

We have several positions available:

  • Content Generators/ Outreach Team: These interns will brainstorm and/or create content informing young voters of critical facts about voting in one of the ten states (Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, Iowa, Arizona, Michigan, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Maine) most likely to be influenced by the youth vote. (The project’s advisors, Kim Sillen and Jeanne Heifetz, will provide this key information.) Interns will reach out to voting organizations and educational institutions in these states, offering the media content that they and their fellow interns create. Organizational contacts and template outreach letters will be provided. You do not need to live in or be from a state to work with that state.

  • PR Team: One or two people will work on PR outreach with the aim of securing media coverage.

  • Manager(s): We are looking for one or two people with strong leadership skills to supervise the Outreach Team and provide consistent support as needed.

  • New York City Manager: This person will do outreach to organizations and colleges in New York City.

*The project advisors will meet virtually with all interns weekly, and will be available to answer questions and provide support as needed.

    Thank you for your interest!

Note: The Largest Generation is a fully volunteer-run endeavor without funding. As a result, we regret that internships are not paid positions.
